Cedar Fence

Cedar is the default privacy fence in the Treasure Valley, and it is what we build more of than anything else. We run dog eared, board on board, picture frame, horizontal panel and three rail cedar, with lattice toppers where you want height without a solid wall. On ground that falls away we step the runs down or rack them to follow the grade, so you do not end up with a gap under the fence or a staircase along the top.

  • Dog eared privacy, the standard 6 foot backyard fence
  • Board on board for a fence with no gaps when the wood shrinks
  • Picture frame with a finished cap and trim on both faces
  • Horizontal panel, often paired with black steel posts
  • Three rail and split rail for front yards and acreage
  • Lattice tops added for privacy and height
  • Runs stepped or racked to follow sloped lots
  • Matching walk gates and double drive gates

Vinyl Fence

Vinyl costs more up front and gives it back in maintenance. It does not need stain, it will not gray out, and a garden hose takes care of most of the cleaning. We install white, tan and brown vinyl in full privacy panel, picket and ranch rail. Gates get steel reinforced frames, because a vinyl gate without one will sag inside of a couple of seasons.

  • White, tan and brown color options
  • Full privacy panel in 4, 5 and 6 foot heights
  • Picket for front yards and pet containment
  • Ranch rail for pasture and acreage frontage
  • Steel reinforced gate frames on every gate
  • Posts set in concrete, not driven
  • Holds up through Idaho winters and summer sun

Wrought Iron Fence

Ornamental iron is what you want when the fence should not block the view. Staggered vista capped is the style we install most around Boise, on front yards, pool enclosures and property lines that back to open ground. Rackable panels follow a slope in one continuous line instead of stepping down it, which matters on the foothill lots and along the canals.

  • Staggered vista, capped, our most requested iron style
  • Western three rail, capped, for a lower and wider look
  • Rackable panels for sloped and rolling lots
  • Curved top gates and arched entries
  • Pool enclosure heights and self closing gate hardware
  • Iron panels set on existing brick or block wall
  • Powder coated black finish

Custom and Agricultural Fence

A good share of our work does not come out of a catalog. We build chicken runs and livestock enclosures, peeled pole and buck rail, barbed wire pasture line, no climb and field fence, and iron set into brick. If you have acreage around Kuna, Middleton or Caldwell and you need a fence that does a specific job, describe it to us and we will tell you how we would build it.

  • Peeled pole and buck rail for ranch frontage
  • Barbed wire pasture and boundary line
  • No climb and field fence for horses and livestock
  • Chicken runs and covered poultry enclosures
  • Wrought iron set on brick or block wall
  • Equipment width gates built to your opening
  • Repairs and extensions to existing farm fence

Fence Repair

There is no job minimum. If the wind took out three panels, a gate has dropped and will not latch, or a post has started to lean, call us and we will come fix it. Ashley Rupert called about a broken gate latch and had a crew there inside the hour, which is the kind of call we would rather take than turn down. A fair number of our full fence customers started as a repair.

  • No minimum job size on repairs
  • Wind damaged panels and blown down sections
  • Leaning and rotted posts reset in concrete
  • Sagging gates, hinges, latches and hardware
  • Rotted bottom rails and kick boards replaced
  • Sections matched to your existing fence where possible
  • Repairs on fence we did not originally build

Tear Down and Removal

Removal is priced into the bid rather than added at the end. When we replace a fence, the old panels, the old posts, the concrete footings and the debris all leave with our crew the same way they came out. We call in utility locates before we dig, and if the fence sits on a shared property line we will talk to you about the neighbor conversation before we start.

  • Tear down, haul off and disposal included in the bid
  • Old posts and concrete footings pulled, not cut off at grade
  • Utility locates called in before any digging
  • Shared property line coordination with neighbors
  • Site left clean, with debris hauled away
  • Old fence removal available as a standalone job

Stain and Weatherproofing

Idaho sun and freeze thaw are hard on wood. Left bare, a cedar fence goes silver in two or three seasons and starts checking after that. We stain and seal new cedar once it has cured, and we refinish existing fence that has gone gray. Several color options are available, from a clear seal that keeps the natural cedar tone to deeper reds and browns.

  • Stain and seal on new cedar after the wood cures
  • Refinishing on existing fence that has weathered
  • Clear, cedar tone, red and brown color options
  • Both faces coated, not just the side you look at
  • Recommended every few years to hold the color
  • Quoted per foot alongside your fence bid
