The Robell Fence family team together along the river in Kuna, Idaho
About / Robell Fence

A Family Fence Company in Boise and the Treasure Valley Since 1972

Robell Fence has installed fence in Boise, Kuna and the surrounding valley for more than fifty years. Same name, same standards, and now the fourth generation of the family learning to set posts.

Our story / 01

Where the name comes from

Robell is a combination of our two founders, Robinson and Bell, who started the company in 1972 and ran it until the mid 2000s. Chris Taylor bought it twelve years ago and kept the name, because in this valley the name still means something to people who bought a fence in 1985.

Since then we have grown the way a fence company should grow, which is slowly and on referrals. We are a premier full service fencing contractor with more than fifty years behind us, serving residential and commercial customers across southern Idaho. Today we are training the fourth generation of the family to do this work.

That history is most of the reason to hire us. Fence companies come and go. When a gate we hung in 2009 starts to sag, you can call the same number and reach the same company. See recent fence installations across the Treasure Valley or read about the fence we build and repair.

Who you deal with

Two people run this company day to day. You will talk to both of them on a normal job.

Chris Taylor, owner of Robell Fence in Kuna, Idaho

Chris Taylor

Owner

Chris owns Robell Fence and runs sales, customer service and project bidding. He bought the company twelve years ago from the family that had carried it since the 1970s, and he has grown it on repeat customers and referrals rather than advertising. He walks most bids himself, which is why the number on your estimate is the number you pay. Customers name him in their reviews more than anyone else here. If you call about a quote in Boise or Meridian, you are probably talking to Chris.

Brooklyn McKay, bookkeeper and financial manager at Robell Fence

Brooklyn McKay

Bookkeeper and Financial Manager

Brooklyn handles invoices, billing, collections, discounts and the daily running of the office. She grew up in the family business, so she knows the work behind every line on a bid. She keeps the paperwork, the scheduling and the crews pointed in the same direction. If you need a copy of an invoice or have a question about a charge, she is the one who picks it up. A large part of why our jobs close cleanly is that she tracks them from the first call to the last payment.

How we work / 03

Four things we do not bend on

Personalized

We are a family owned company and we live here. The people bidding your fence, scheduling it and building it are neighbors in the same valley, and we run the business like it.

Straight bids

Honest numbers, clear communication and timelines we can actually hold. If something changes on your job you will hear it from us before you see it on an invoice.

Built to last

Good material, posts set in concrete and methods we have refined over fifty years of working in this particular ground. The fences we built twenty years ago are still standing.

Licensed and insured

Licensed and insured in Idaho, from the first consultation through the final walk. The crew on your property works for us.
